Electronic Fingerprinting

Live Scan is inkless electronic fingerprinting. The applicant’s fingerprints are electronically transmitted to the Department of Justice or FBI for a completion of a criminal record check.

The Live Scan electronic fingerprinting technology replaces the process of recording fingerprint patterns through a rolling process using ink. Ink fingerprinting is still required in many states. Digitizing the fingerprint images enables service providers like Certifix Live Scan to electronically transmit fingerprints to the Department of Justice and FBI in a matter of seconds, instead of the days required to send hard copy fingerprint cards through the mail.

Certifix offers both live scan services and ink fingerprint card services; we are one of the largest Live Scan service providers in the State of California; most of our locations are just minutes away from your home or work.

Contact Certifix for more information on electronic fingerprinting.
