Live Scan Fingerprinting Classes

By law, thousands of professionals and volunteers are required to submit a Live Scan for a criminal based background check, new laws are passed each year that create for greater demand for Live Scan services. We are now offering our Live Scan fingerprint training classes for individuals and businesses seeking to learn more about the Live Scan fingerprinting industry in California.

We offer our classes on both Wednesdays and Saturdays and our training facilities are currently located in Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland and Sacramento. The Wednesday classes are held at an official fingerprint enrollment center, so during the class you may get the chance to see real applicants submitting their fingerprint transactions for a criminal background check. You will be able to monitor the process from beginning to end and the instructor will be able to answer any questions you may have.

The Saturday classes are presented in a classroom style environment with several presentations and detailed information about the process, the legalities and the business procedures that govern Live Scan operators in California.

In both classes you will be given the opportunity to try the Live Scan system with four different types of fingerprint scanners and you will be able to test each scanner and to get a feeling for how it works. You will also be able to practice fingerprinting on your fellow classmates and will be given sample Live Scan forms to practice data entry. Each of our classes is hosted by a knowledgeable instructor who has processed thousands of applicant fingerprint transactions in California. You will be able to ask them detailed questions and they will be able to guide you through the exact steps needed in setting up your very own Live Scan system with the California Department of Justice.

At the end of the training class, you will have the option to submit your Live Scan for the Fingerprint Roller Certification, there is an additional fee of $74 which will be remitted to the California Department of Justice. The Fingerprint Roller Certification is mailed out 3 to 4 weeks after your application is submitted, this certification is required if you plan to operate or own a Live Scan system in California.
