Yes. You may order extra printed cards during your visit or by contacting Certifix Support. Additional cards have a small fee.

  • What do I need to bring to my fingerprinting session?

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. If your agency requires specific details on the card (such as ORI, OCA, or employer information), bring that as well.

  • How long does it take to receive my fingerprint card?

Fingerprint cards are typically printed and mailed within 1–3 business days. Delivery times depend on the shipping option selected at enrollment.

  • Do you mail fingerprint cards internationally?

At this time, we only mail FD-258 fingerprint cards to U.S. addresses. If you are located outside the U.S., you may provide a domestic address for delivery and forward the card as needed.

  • Can I get a digital copy of my fingerprints?

No. This service provides physical fingerprint cards only. Digital fingerprint images are not released or emailed.

  • Can I use one fingerprint card for multiple applications?

You may submit fingerprint cards to multiple agencies, but each agency usually requires its own original card. Many customers order several printed cards for different applications.

  • Do you store my fingerprints?

Fingerprints are retained only to complete your order and are not stored long-term after the cards have been printed and mailed.

  • Can someone else receive my fingerprint card?

Yes. We can mail your fingerprint card to any valid U.S. address you provide, including an employer, attorney, licensing board, or another individual. Just specify the desired mailing address during enrollment.

  • What if my fingerprint card is rejected?

If your fingerprint card is rejected for quality, we can reprint your card at no additional charge and mail you a new copy. If you experience issues at one location, you may visit a different Certifix location to have your fingerprints recaptured without paying another rolling fee.

  • Do you fill out the fields on the FD-258 fingerprint card for me?

Yes. We complete the required fields using the information you provide during online enrollment. If your agency requires an ORI number, you can enter it during enrollment and we will print it on the card. We do not currently add OCA numbers or employer information, but you may write those details on the card by hand if needed.

  • Can I bring my own fingerprint card?

If you enroll online, we use our standard FD-258 card and mail it to you—your own card cannot be used with this service. If your agency requires an original or preprinted card, please contact Certifix Support before enrolling. Some locations use a different system that may allow them to process fingerprints onto your specific card, and we can help determine whether a suitable location is available near you.

Supporting documents are any forms, letters, or applications your agency requires to be mailed together with your fingerprint card. You can upload them during enrollment.

  • Can you print and mail my supporting documents with my fingerprint card?

Yes. If you upload your paperwork, we will print it and mail it alongside your fingerprint card in the same envelope.

  • Can you mail my fingerprint card and documents directly to the agency?

You can upload up to three documents in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format (maximum size: 5MB each).

  • Can I have the fingerprint card mailed to me instead of the agency?
