The FD-258 Fingerprint Card Printing Service captures your fingerprints electronically and prints them onto a standard FD-258 fingerprint card. Your completed card is mailed to you via USPS First Class Mail and is commonly used for out-of-state background checks, employment, licensing, immigration, and other agency requirements.
Complete the short enrollment form to generate your QR code and provide the details we will print on your FD-258 fingerprint card. You can also upload any supporting documents your agency requires.
Choose from our nationwide network of locations. Bring your QR code and a valid photo ID. Our technician will capture your fingerprints electronically during your session.
Your fingerprints are captured electronically and professionally printed onto a standard FD-258 fingerprint card. If you uploaded supporting documents, we will print and include them in the mailing.
Your fingerprint card—and any supporting documents—will be mailed via USPS First Class Mail to the U.S. address you specify. Additional printed card copies are available upon request.

The FD-258 is the official fingerprint card approved by the FBI. It is used for background checks required by federal agencies, state licensing boards, employers, and organizations that accept mailed fingerprint submissions.
We capture your fingerprints electronically, print them onto an FD-258 fingerprint card, and mail the completed card to you. You can also request additional card copies if needed.
Some agencies accept fingerprint cards, while others require Live Scan. Always verify with your requesting agency before ordering this service.
Yes. You may order extra printed cards during your visit or by contacting Certifix Support. Additional cards have a small fee.

Fingerprint cards are typically printed and mailed within 1–3 business days. Delivery times depend on the shipping option selected at enrollment.
At this time, we only mail FD-258 fingerprint cards to U.S. addresses. If you are located outside the U.S., you may provide a domestic address for delivery and forward the card as needed.
No. This service provides physical fingerprint cards only. Digital fingerprint images are not released or emailed.
You may submit fingerprint cards to multiple agencies, but each agency usually requires its own original card. Many customers order several printed cards for different applications.
Fingerprints are retained only to complete your order and are not stored long-term after the cards have been printed and mailed.
Yes. We can mail your fingerprint card to any valid U.S. address you provide, including an employer, attorney, licensing board, or another individual. Just specify the desired mailing address during enrollment.
If your fingerprint card is rejected for quality, we can reprint your card at no additional charge and mail you a new copy. If you experience issues at one location, you may visit a different Certifix location to have your fingerprints recaptured without paying another rolling fee.
Yes. We complete the required fields using the information you provide during online enrollment. If your agency requires an ORI number, you can enter it during enrollment and we will print it on the card. We do not currently add OCA numbers or employer information, but you may write those details on the card by hand if needed.
If you enroll online, we use our standard FD-258 card and mail it to you—your own card cannot be used with this service. If your agency requires an original or preprinted card, please contact Certifix Support before enrolling. Some locations use a different system that may allow them to process fingerprints onto your specific card, and we can help determine whether a suitable location is available near you.
Yes. Mobile services are available for employers, schools, and groups. Contact us to schedule an on-site fingerprinting session.

We do not currently offer expedited shipping. All fingerprint cards are mailed via USPS First Class Mail, which includes a tracking number for your convenience.
California and Florida require Live Scan for most programs. Fingerprint cards are only accepted for special out-of-state or exception-based submissions. Always confirm with your agency.
Supporting documents are any forms, letters, or applications your agency requires to be mailed together with your fingerprint card. You can upload them during enrollment.
Yes. If you upload your paperwork, we will print it and mail it alongside your fingerprint card in the same envelope.
Yes. You may provide a separate address—such as a licensing board, employer, or government agency—and we will send the complete packet directly to them.
You can upload up to three documents in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format (maximum size: 5MB each).
Yes. You can choose to have the card and documents mailed to you first if you prefer to review them before sending them to your agency.
Printing up to three uploaded documents is included with your order unless special printing needs apply.
