© 2026 Certifix, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Privacy Policy Terms of Use Cookie Preferences
Certifix, Inc., doing business as Certifix Live Scan (“Certifix”), provides a cookie preference management tool powered by an independent third-party service provider (the “Cookie Tool”) to give users additional control over certain cookies and tracking technologies used on this Site. While Certifix has implemented the Cookie Tool in good faith to enhance user privacy choices, users should be aware of and acknowledge the following important limitations.
Technical Limitations and Disclaimers
The Cookie Tool operates within the inherent technical limitations of web browsers, third-party scripts, and modern web technologies. As a result, the Cookie Tool cannot guarantee complete, absolute, or error-free enforcement of user cookie preferences in all circumstances. Without limitation:
Certain essential cookies required for basic Site functionality, security, or performance may not be disabled through the Cookie Tool.
Cookies, scripts, or tracking technologies deployed by third-party service providers, advertisers, analytics platforms, or content delivery networks may not be fully controllable due to their independent technical implementation.
Cookies set prior to a user modifying preferences through the Cookie Tool may remain active until manually cleared through browser settings.
Browser cache, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies may retain data outside the Cookie Tool’s scope of control.
Changes to browsers, operating systems, software updates, or third-party services may impact the Cookie Tool’s functionality without notice.
No Warranty; Limitation of Liability
THE COOKIE TOOL IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. CERTIFIX DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE COOKIE TOOL WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, ERROR, OR TECHNICAL FAILURE, OR THAT IT WILL SUCCESSFULLY BLOCK OR CONTROL ALL COOKIES OR TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES SELECTED BY THE USER.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Certifix disclaims all liability arising from or related to the Cookie Tool, including but not limited to:
(i) its performance, accuracy, or completeness;
(ii) any failure or partial failure to enforce user preferences;
(iii) any data collection or tracking that occurs despite preferences set through the Cookie Tool; or
(iv) any reliance on the Cookie Tool’s effectiveness.
Certifix shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages related to the use, misuse, or inability to use the Cookie Tool.
Third-Party Service Provider
The Cookie Tool is developed, maintained, and operated by an independent third-party provider. Certifix does not control and is not responsible for the provider’s technology, software updates, algorithms, security practices, or business operations. Any information collected or processed by the third-party provider through the Cookie Tool is governed by that provider’s own privacy policy, which is separate from this Privacy Policy. Users are encouraged to review the third-party provider’s privacy policy, which may be accessible through the Cookie Tool interface.
User Responsibility and Alternative Controls
The Cookie Tool is provided as a convenience and supplemental option only. Users remain ultimately responsible for managing their privacy preferences and should not rely exclusively on the Cookie Tool. Users may achieve more comprehensive control by using browser settings, browser extensions, operating system privacy controls, or other privacy-enhancing technologies. Additional information regarding browser-based controls is available in Section 3 of this Privacy Policy.
Continued Data Collection
Users acknowledge that certain data collection may continue even after adjusting preferences through the Cookie Tool, including but not limited to:
Essential cookies required for Site operation, security, and fraud prevention
Cookies or technologies beyond the Cookie Tool’s technical ability to block
Server logs, IP addresses, and related security monitoring
Non-cookie technologies such as device fingerprinting, server-side tracking, or tracking pixels embedded in emails
Cookies set during server-side page generation, initial page load sequences, critical rendering path operations, or asynchronous loading processes that occur before the Cookie Tool initializes in the user’s browser; cookies deployed through HTTP response headers prior to client-side script execution; cookies set by content management systems, web servers, hosting platforms, or application frameworks during initial request processing; cookies placed by content delivery networks (CDNs), reverse proxies, edge servers, or caching systems before HTML content reaches the user’s browser; cookies triggered by dynamic page elements, lazy-loaded content, infinite scroll mechanisms, or on-demand resource loading that execute independently of the Cookie Tool’s initialization sequence; cookies set by JavaScript libraries, frameworks, or dependencies that load before or in parallel with the Cookie Tool; cookies deployed during page redirects, URL rewrites, or server-side routing operations; cookies placed during authentication handshakes, session establishment, security token generation, or CSRF protection mechanisms that must execute before user interaction; and cookies set by A/B testing platforms, personalization engines, or experimentation frameworks that require immediate execution upon page request
Acceptance of Terms
By using the Cookie Tool, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the limitations and terms described in this section. If you do not agree, you should refrain from using the Cookie Tool and manage your cookie preferences directly through your browser or other available controls.
You may decline cookies from this Site at any time by adjusting your browser settings to block or restrict cookies. Additional instructions on how to disable or manage cookies are available on your browser provider’s website.
