Your fingerprints are captured and securely submitted electronically to the FBI through an approved channeler. Once your results are ready, you’ll receive a secure email link to access, download, and print your report online. You may also share the report with a third party if required.

If the rejection is due to quality, you can return to any Certifix location for a resubmission. If the rejection is due to incorrect information provided, you may be responsible for the rolling fee again.
Yes. International applicants may submit fingerprints through Certifix’s Print-to-Card (FD-258) service and have results delivered electronically.
Certifix does not issue or store your FBI report. Once your fingerprints are processed, the FBI-approved channeler will email you secure instructions to access your results online. You can download your FBI background check instantly at no extra cost through the channeler’s secure portal.
Yes. After your results are ready, the FBI channeler can mail a physical copy of your report for an additional fee. Delivery options include First-Class Mail ($5, 3–5 days), Priority Mail ($25, 1–3 days), or Priority Express ($45, 1–2 days). Online download is always free, and mailed copies are available if required by an employer, agency, or for apostille purposes.
You will receive an email notification from the FBI channeler with a secure link and instructions to view, download, or request a mailed copy of your results.
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or military ID. The name on your ID must match the information used during enrollment.
An appointment is not always required. After you enroll online and receive your QR code, you can visit any participating location. Some locations allow walk-ins, while others require an appointment. During enrollment, you’ll see whether the location you select offers walk-in service or requires scheduling an appointment.
