Certifix provides secure, electronic Live Scan fingerprinting for background checks required by the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI. Our participating UPS Store locations make it easy to complete your fingerprints for employment, licensing, or certification in California.
Bring your completed Request for Live Scan Service form and a valid photo ID to any participating UPS Store, or enroll online in advance for faster check-in. Our certified fingerprint technician will capture your fingerprints and submit them electronically to the DOJ and/or FBI—no payment is collected at the UPS Store location.
Obtain the correct Request for Live Scan Service form from your employer or requesting agency. This form is required for all California Live Scan submissions and must be completed before you are fingerprinted.

Enroll online (optional): You may enroll online ahead of time for faster check-in. Your information will be pre-filled for the operator, reducing data entry errors and wait times.
A certified fingerprint technician will capture your fingerprints electronically and submit them directly to the California DOJ and/or FBI. Once your prints are submitted, you’ll receive an ATI (Applicant Tracking Identifier) number, which you can use to check the status of your background check with the California DOJ. No payment is collected at the UPS Store—fees are paid during online enrollment.

Visit one of our certified locations in California for digital fingerprinting. We submit your fingerprints electronically to the California DOJ for background check processing. You'll receive an ATI Number to track your submission. This is the fastest and most efficient option for applicants in California.
We capture your fingerprints and print them onto an FD-258 fingerprint card, which will be mailed directly to you. This card is widely accepted by state and federal agencies for a variety of application types. Additional copies are available upon request.
We scan your fingerprints and securely transmit them to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) or the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) for Level 2 background checks. You'll receive a Transaction Control Number (TCN) to track your submission.
We capture your fingerprints and submit them to the FBI to request your Identity History Summary. Once processed, your report is available online for download. You can optionally share it with employers or other third parties.
We print your fingerprints onto an FD-258 fingerprint card and mail it to you with pre-filled California DOJ forms. You must submit the package and payment by mail. This service is for applicants residing outside California.
