Yes. Georgia accepts FD-258 fingerprint cards for certain background check and licensing requirements. Fingerprint cards are commonly used when electronic fingerprint submission is not available or when applicants are completing Georgia requirements from outside the state.
Fingerprints are captured electronically using Live Scan equipment and printed onto an official FD-258 fingerprint card. In most cases, the completed card is mailed to you after your appointment so you can submit it with your application to the appropriate Georgia agency or the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). If a fingerprint card needs to be resubmitted, we offer free recapture and mailing of a replacement card.
