To submit a Live Scan in Florida, you’ll need the ORI number provided by the requesting agency. You can enroll online in advance or visit a participating Certifix location with a valid photo ID. If you enroll online, payment is completed ahead of time and you’ll only need to check in at the location.
Fingerprints are submitted electronically to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (and the FBI, if required). You’ll receive a Transaction Control Number (TCN) to track your background check, and results are sent directly to the requesting agency, typically within 1 to 5 business days. Out-of-state applicants must enroll online.
