How does fingerprint card service work for Ohio?
Fingerprints are captured electronically using Live Scan equipment and printed onto an official FD-258 fingerprint card. In most cases, the completed card is mailed to you after your appointment so you can submit it with your application to the appropriate Ohio agency or the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). If a fingerprint card needs to be resubmitted, we offer free recapture and mailing of a replacement card.
